OFF-SITE RESIDENCIES

CURRENTLY partnering with

Sharon Playhouse teaching artists bring the magic of the performing arts right to your school or organization! These dynamic partnerships can include everything from year-long programming to one-off workshops.  

  • Examples of Sharon Playhouse In-School Residencies:

    • Indian Mountain Lower School, Lakeville, CT 

      • Weekly classes in the Performing Arts for grades Pre-K through 4 all year long

      • The 3rd and 4th Grades present original plays written and directed by Sharon Playhouse teacher artists 

    • Indian Mountain Upper School, Lakeville, CT 

      • Weekly electives in the Performing Arts for grades 5-9 all year long

    • Sharon Center School, Sharon, CT

      • Triannual workshops in the Performing Arts for grades 1-8

  • Examples of Sharon Playhouse Afterschool Residencies:

    • Indian Mountain Lower School, Lakeville, CT 

      • Semester-long, full-scale production residency, including casting, rehearsing, and performing a fully staged production of a musical in the Bobbie Olsen Theater at The Sharon Playhouse

        • 2023: The Little Mermaid, Jr.

        • 2024: Mary Poppins, Jr.

    • Salisbury Central School SOAR Program, Salisbury, CT

      • Regular workshops in the Performing Arts for grades K-8 

    • Housatonic Valley Regional High School, Falls Village, CT

      • Regular workshops in the Performing Arts for grades 9-12

      • A Sharon Playhouse teaching artist directed Housatonic Musical Theater Society’s 2022 production of Into the Woods
