  • Our Address: The Sharon Playhouse is located at 49 Amenia Road in Sharon CT.

    Directions:

    • From Boston/Points East: The drive from Boston and Points East to Sharon Playhouse in Sharon CT is 165 miles and takes 3 hours and 8 minutes.

          - Take I-90 W to 49 Amenia Rd, Sharon, CT 06069, USA

    • From New York City: via Taconic State Parkway. To get there by car, it will take about 2 hours and 15 minutes and cover 104 miles. Directions

    • From Albany/Points West: via I-90 E. To get there, it will take about 1 hour and 21 minutes and cover 69.8 miles. Directions.

    • From New York City (Train): Metro-North, take the Harlem Line to the Wassaic Station. https://new.mta.info/agency/metro-north-railroad

  • PARKING AT THE PLAYHOUSE: Parking is right next to the playhouse, is free and available one hour before show time. You may want to give yourself some extra time to arrive, as the parking lot tends to get busy! Upon your arrival, our parking staff will greet you and advise on the best spot to use.

    PLAYHOUSE WIFI: We provide free patron Wifi on our campus. Simply select our Sharon Playhouse Guest network. No password is required. Feel free to check in online to let your friends know you are on our campus!

  • TICKETS: We accept printed AND digital versions of your ticket to get you in, so if you forget to print, don’t worry! We’ll gladly accept a screenshot of your tickets too! Just have your confirmation email visible on your phone! You can also pick up your tickets at Will Call at the Welcome Center just outside the lobby of the theater.

    • Once you arrive and have your tickets, head to the Patio Bar which kicks off one hour before show time! The outdoor patio is our audience’s favorite place to hang out before a show and enjoy a beverage and some snacks!

    • You can pre-order intermission drinks before the show starts. Sign up at the bar and your drink will be waiting there for you when intermission comes!

    • Non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and Playhouse merchandise are available for sale inside our lobby on your way into the Olsen!

    • You can enjoy our delicious on-campus partnerships with two  food trucks! 151 Pressed food truck serves at all performances Fridays through Sundays and Food 4 Friends food truck serves on Thursdays. And the Le Gamin Pop-Up serves Jane's Ice Cream on the Patio!

  • MASK POLICY:

    Following the latest recommendations, our audience is strongly encouraged to wear a mask while inside the Bobbie Olsen Theater or Bok Stage, although they are not required. Our staff will continue to provide masks to anyone who needs one. 

    OUR COMMITMENT:

    The safety of our staff, performers and audience is our top priority. The Sharon Playhouse is committed to monitoring the health of all who work on our campus via testing, masking and maintaining a fully vaccinated campus. Our guidelines comply with current Actors Equity Association protocols and by regularly reviewing the situation and adjusting its safety policies as needed, the Playhouse can help to protect everyone who comes to the theater.  

    Based on the latest guidance from the CDC and the State of Connecticut, we will continue to monitor the current situation and adjust our safety policies as needed. We will post all changes to our safety policies on our website.

    Should the State, local municipality, or health authority issue further guidance due to an increase in Covid infection rates, the Sharon Playhouse reserves the right to comply with such recommendations, including the reinstatement of proof of vaccination/test requirements.

  • ACCESSIBILITY:

    • Assistive Hearing Devices:

      • Both the Olsen and the Bok spaces are equipped with an assistive listening system for the hearing impaired.

      • Assistive listening devices are available at the Box Office on a first-come, first-served basis the night of the performance. Reservations are not accepted in advance.

    • Wheelchair Accessibility:

      • Our venues are wheelchair accessible. Please notify the Box Office if you require wheelchair seating when booking (48-hour advance notice is greatly appreciated).

    • Service Animals:

      • Although animals are not permitted in the theater, an exception is made for guide dogs and service animals. Please inform the Box Office if any accommodations are required.

    DRESS CODE:
    At the Playhouse we make theater for you, and you make the experience what you want! So, dress up or dress down as much as you want, enjoy the show however you feel best!
